• With experience gained over two decades of work in the academia, community pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, research centres, vaccination centres, pharma-warehouse, and industries, Prof. Dr. Nahlah Elkudssiah Ismail has taught more than 75 courses to diploma, degree and postgraduate students in UK and Malaysia using innovative teacher- and student- centered learning. As the pioneer of clinical pharmaceutics in Malaysia, she is the founder of the first Clinical Pharmaceutics Research Group (CPRG) (2008) in Malaysia and that was later acknowledged as Clinical BioPharmaceutics Research Group (CBRG) under Research Initiative Group (RIG) by Research Management Institute (RMI), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. The CBRG comprised of Inhalational Delivery Lab (IDL), Biomedical Analysis Lab (BAL) and Honey Research Lab. IDL was the first in Asia comprising all pivotal facilities in analysing particles deliveries emitted from various medical devices including nasal spray, metered dose inhalers, spacers, dry powder inhalers, and various types of nebulisers, industrial and domestics sprays, as well as environmental air quality assessment ranging from nano to micro sizes of particles. Prof. Dr. Nahlah holds membership in various local and international pharmacy and health based organizations. She has been publishing more than 300 publications including research journal articles, proceedings, chapters in books, books and magazine. She has been invited to deliver lectures, talks (keynote/plenary/distinguished speaker) and conduct workshops at local and international events as well as a reviewer and editorial board member for local and international journals, and serve organizing committee members in various conferences. Research area of interest mainly in the field of pharmaceutics (drug delivery; nanotechnology; inhalational deliveries), pharmaceutical analysis (method development, detection and validation), clinical pharmacy, pharmacy education and leadership, pharmacy practice, public health, neurobehavioural-psychosocial, pharmaceutical policy, complementary and alternative medicines. She is also keenly participating in honey, plant and animal modelling studies in exploring and defining new therapeutic entity. Prof. Dr. Nahlah had been awarded research, publication and travel grants as well as awards and medals in national and international scientific invention, innovation and design exhibitions, competitions, conferences, and community services. As a senior clinical pharmacist and a teacher-practitioner, she was one of the regular invited guests for radio UFM Malaysia under segment “U & Health” covering numerous health topics as well as one of the invited speakers for leadership and soft skills development. She has been as the Chairman and member of Boards of Studies for Diploma in Pharmacy, Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons), Master in Clinical Pharmacy, Master in Pharmacy Practice, Master and PhD studies, involving heavily in curriculum review, audits, recognition and accreditation affairs. Holding various posts at different senior professional management levels at different institutions, currently, Prof. Dr. Nahlah is the Dean of Pharmacy, AIMST University, Malaysia, Council Member and Bursar of Malaysian Academy of Pharmacy. She is also enthusiastically advocating vaccination against COVID-19 by becoming the medical professional frontliner at various Vaccine Administration Centres (VACs) for populations of adult, geriatric, adolescent, children as well as vulnerable populations including prisoners, illegal immigrants and refugees. With passion for delivering high quality of healthcare, she is actively promoting health and wellness as well as by being a consultant pharmacist in ambulatory care servicing few private primary healthcare facilities. Dr Sadia Sultan is an Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Chemistry in the Department of Pharmacology and chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy University Technology MARA UiTM Malaysia. Currently she is heading the Biotransformation Research Group under Research Nexus UiTM (ReNeU), Health & Wellness (HW). Five (5) Ph.D and six (6) Masters students have already graduated under her supervision. She is having more than 18 years of Experience in the field of Natural Product Research. Her area of Expertise includes:

• Biotransformation of exogenous substrates using microorganisms and plant tissue culture techniques.
• Exploring bioactive secondary metabolites from Plant, Soil and Marine Endophytic fungi. (Using Dereplication and OSMAC Approach).
• Modern NMR spectroscopic approaches in Elucidation of Secondary Metabolites
• Biological screening using antimicrobial assays.
• Mechanistic studies to understand metastasis breast cancer: towards the effects of microbial derivatives of Steroids & Terpenes using MDA-MB-231 CELLS INDUCED XENOGRAPH MODEL.

She is the author of e books and chapters including Polyesters, Molecular Modeling, Pharmaceutical Chemistry I and II, Workbook of Pharmaceutical Chemistry II (Pearson, inTech-ISBN). She has over 70 research publications in top international journals (Q1, Q2) including high impact factor journals like Pharmaceuticals (MDPI), European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, European Journal of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Journal of Steroids, Tetrahedron Letters, Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry, Journal of Molecules with cumulative impact factor of over 200 and 1500 citations, with h index 20 (Google scholar). Apart from that she is also an editor of book Fungal Pathogenicity. Her current research is based on the utilization of modern NMR spectroscopic approaches in Elucidation of Secondary Metabolites, Biotransformation of an Exogenous Substrates and Synthesis and Characterization of Bioactive Medicinal derivatives using Combinatorial Chemistry. For her research works she has been awarded several national grants as a principal investigator including e Science (Ministry of Science and Technology-MOSTI), FRGS, ERGS, PSI, DANA Fund, REI etc. Her research findings are also recognized at several conferences, competitions and exhibitions and have been awarded with several awards like best poster awards, ITEX 2014, iidex gold, iidex silver, iidex bronze awards. Her favorite activity is working alongside postgraduates and undergraduates in the laboratory on research problems involving natural products isolation and identification. When not in the lab and office, she likes to cook and spend times with her daughters and husband.
